Jas just loves thrillers/chillers. I rented Village of the Damned (the original British black & white) horror flick. We hope to scare ourselves silly & bond @ the same time. LOL Have a great weekend, all! (((hugs))) jan

Hey Suz!
I am glad your dh is having some good days. And I vote for you taking the weekend off, relaxing, and working on your stained glass! :0D I also hope the sun shines for you!
(You can always cut the grass another day!)

And Jan! I love that old english 'Village of the Damned' flick...What a cool story! I love old movies! That sounds like a great op for you & jas to hang together. :0D

As for me, dh is working at the U of OR putting up new ceiling, We are hoping it is only a one day project, and not the whole weekend. But when he gets home, we will probably BBQ, and if he gets Sunday off, we will probably veg, relax and watch some movies :0) I love when he is home on the weekends!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Looking forward to hearing about everyones' plans! hugs, shasta

Hey Katie!
We were all wondering how your job interview went! Even if it wasn't a job you wanted, the interview process is always good, because it gives you good practice for other interviews and helps to boost your confidence. (at least that is what my mom tells me! LOL!)
I wish you lots of luck on your job hunting. What kind of job are you looking for?
Are you back in school already too?
I don't think school starts here in Oregon until after the 1st of Sept...
Ok, and I have to ask, why are you grounded,gf??? I am nosy! hee hee! :0p
I can't see you being a bad girl! :0D
I hope you have a fun time at church! Hope to hear from you soon!
hugs, shasta

I am taking my two boys to a place called Lambs Farm. It is a petting zoo and park. It has a train ride and a carosel. The boys love it. It is run by a community of special needs children. Mostly with Downs Syndrome. It is a wonderful place. Sunday, my husband is taking a day off!!!!!!!! WOW! I don't know what we are going to do, but I am just so thrilled that he will be home. I know this sounds awful, but I am looking forward to the extra pair of hands. This will be his first full day off in months. I think we will go out to breakfast and maybe go on a bike ride. Then, when I put my little one down for a nap, I am going to take off. Who knows where, but I am outa here. Maybe I will bring my book and sit at Starbucks. Hmmm. The possiblities. Have a great weekend everyone.

Having some time to yourself is probably just what you need! That is sooo great! I long for that, lol. My ds is 4 and an angel, but still ALWAYS with me. Never a break, never a nap, lol. I miss those days when he would nap for 2 hours!! I told dh last night I was going to stay home and let them go to soccer practice alone, but I ended up going because I didn't want to miss out on watching him play - my fault I didn't get the time off. A book & Starbucks sounds perfect!

Suz, I'm so glad dh is having some better days. Enjoy them while they are here -- the lawn will still need to be cut tomorrow! We've been letting ours go and doing it every 2 weeks instead of every weekend. It may not look perfect all them time, but it allows us to have some family time on the weekend instead of dh & I being tied up with yardwork for a whole day! Stained glass - wow, I'd love to take a class and do that. I love stained glass & buy alot of my Christmas gifts from stained glass craftsman at fairs. What a great hobby! Take care.

Suz It is good that your dh has had some good days!
It is very stressful being a caregiver and YOU need to
do that stained glass!! I am working on a shadow box
of Key West old postcards shells etc! It is a great way
to forget it all!! I will also be playing with my grandbaby
which for me is the greatest!I get to be 3 again!!
The hurricane pasted us by THANK GOD!! The wind and rain
have stopped sooooooooo I am enjoying the sun again!
Take care all, Judy

Your stained-glass hobby sounds interesting!
Something positive from my weekend: naps and shopping for the baby. There's no point in even stressing about how much we've spent; we're frugal, and we're just preparing for Mia's arrival. The more we do, the more my mind is put at ease. :)

Hope the rest of your weekend was good! Take care.
