Hi I'm new. I have had some "episodes" occuring. My Dr's believe its panic attacks, but I am not sure. It seems too easy and I do not feel stressed. I am however in a high stressed job and am taking classes towards my masters at night. Its possible that I have just gotten used to it??!! Here are my symptoms: out of the blue, I will feel faint, hot, headaches, achey hands, sometimes legs, heart races, and petrafied as to what is going on, since usually i'm just sitting doing nothing when this happens. It happened to me in the car the first time and I went to the hospital. I have never fainted. My dr's said they were panic attacks but I didn't believe it and I do not want to take the medication. So I scheduled to see a Neurologist. My MRI came back clean, and they are doing other tests. Any thoughts, please I am so gripped w/ fear as to what is happening to me, I'm scared. Thanks!

Hi! Welcome to our caring community. You are NOT alone. Many of us have had the panic strike out of the blue. For me, those are the worst. There's no way to prepare & I feel like I'm *losing it.* Suffice it to say that getting a good check up is necessary. There are some conditions that can mimic panic attacks. However, alot of us can relate to having doubts that the dr. performed the right tests. Or the tests were wrong or read incorrectly.

Jan- Thank you so much for your message and links, it truly helped. It is nice to speak to others that have and are going through what I am experiencing. Does anyone have suggestions how to control them? Mine in my opinion happened out of the blue, but a person such as myself that worries alot and stresses about the future, maybe I am a "typical case", I do not know.

Thanks, Donna
