Well I must say it was a lot better than the first week. I was able to talk more and we communicated a whole lot better. I told him that I wanted to figure out what the possibilty could be that is wrong with me, so he gave me some verbal test you know question and answers and in the outcome it told me he thinks its definitely some form of anxiety disorder. He said something about adjustment anxiety disorder or something along those lines but I felt just a little relieved that he didnt sense anything else espically since I thought it could be something more. He seemed to open up a little more or so he said "I dont usually talk to much about my personal expierences with the patients but I will tell you some." So i feel a little better that he feels comfortable enough to do that also. Ofcourse he told me I should be doing more to keep my mind off the whole situation and I know I should also. Hopefully will be able to get a job and he also told me something I didnt even know about the school I was attending concerning computer courses I am trying to get into. So overall really good session even though I felt neverous and for some reason its really hard for me to i guess keep long period of eye contact with people when they talk because I tend to feel a little dizzy or out of it after all the staring.

Hi It sounds like things went much better this time!
It does take several visits to get comfortable and find
out how someone is! LOL about the eye contact I always wear
a bracelet and play with it when talking so I can look away for
a few minutes! We are talking nonstop for so long it does get
wierd I HEAR YOU!! I remember one time I had a nervous twitch
well I thought I would lose it!! I wanted to laugh and cry
I am talking and my lip and eye are twitching a hundred miles
an hour and the more I thought about it the worse it got!! LOL
Soooo anyway I am glad things went better! Take care, Judy

I was so glad to read your post! That is great news that you had a good 2nd session!
I too, have a hard time looking ppl in the eyes directly, especially for a long period of time...I guess we all are shy that way! LOL!
I think it is so great you are seeing a therapist. Please keep us posted k?
Sending you P&PT's!
hugs,
shasta
P.S. Oh,Also-One thing that helps my nervousness:I take a bottled water with me to my pdoc appt, that gives me a reason to not constantly be looking the dr. in the eyes, and makes me feel calmer to take a drink once in a while during the session...Maybe that might help you? I bet other ppl might have suggestions too :0)

That's good news, Kevin. ITA with Suz. Sometimes you may leave a session feeling pretty drained. That is normal. It isn't always easy to share our feelings or confront our issues. It's a great start for you. Love ya & miss ya, bf! LOL
