I went to take my lexapro and for some stupid reason I took a klonopin.. I wasn't due for one for another 3 hours at least. SO I called poison control because i got so scared...

They told me that some people take up to 2mg and since I only took .5 2x within 4 hours then I am fine.. but GEEZE i think my face went white..

I also have a lot to tell you all when I can..

I found some paperwork from when I was 12.. I had a psychiatric evaluation after my parents divorced and I was diagnosed with adjustment disorder and several times in the evaluation it was mentioned that I was anxious. i will post more details later.. dh and I are settling in for the night....

((Heather)) I can imagine how that made you feel! Did you go ahead and take the Lexapro, too? I think I would have been afraid. I used to take Inderal when I was in my teens & did that often, took 2 instead of 1. Then I would feel sooooo tired afterwards that I just knew I had done it again. Post more & let us know how you are!

awww Heather, I can only imagine how scared you got when you noticed you took a klonopin instead! Im glad it's nothing serious, you'll probably just have to sleep off the groggy feeling.

anyway, I think in a couple of days you'll look back and this and laugh :)

hope you're feeling better!

I'd be scared out of my mind too. I used to take 2 klonopin at one time together, I had built a tolerance. I'm glad you found out that it's ok. I think it's an easy mistake. I know it's bad but I take my pills by sight now and not by looking at the bottle. I can even tell what it is by the sound it makes when I shake it so that type of mistake is so easy to make.

Interesting about your past. Maybe this will help you sort through things a little bit better. Do you have the full record? If not, Can you get it?

I hope your calm & relaxing now.

I am glad you're OK! I hope by now you're feeling better. It's an easy mistake to make, I imagine, albeit a bit scary. Just take it easy.

Heather hope you're feeling better now.....scary but an honest mistake. I use one of those weekly pill holders for mine so I don't make that mistake and so I know if I've taken them or not. I was having a heck of a time remembering to take my pill for cholesteral in the evening but proud to say I haven't missed one since using the pill holder....Just a suggestion......

Thank You Kethia,

I did end up getting one of those and I will just fill it every sunday and then I'll know.. I was lucky that I didn't do it with my lexapro.. that really could've been bad.

Take Care,

Hugs,
