Breathing?

Sometimes I have the sensation that I'm not getting enough oxygen or that I cannot catch my breath even though I am breathing. When I've had the hospital and doctor's check this out my oxygen level is always 100% and my lungs sound and look just fine. This happens almost daily and lasts for about an hour or so. When it happens all I can do is just try my best to relax and not engage in any conversation with anyone or anything. Then, just like that, it's gone and everything is normal.
I'm asking this cuz it happened to me again this morning. It reminds me of hyperventalating even though I'm not. I think I focus too much on my breathing and then I breath wrong sending the wrong messages to my brain. I also almost felt a panic attack come on right when this started so it seems there is some relation.
anyone else ever have weird breathing sensations during anxiety or panic?

You described it EXACTLY
I was having the same exact feelings last night when I was trying to go to sleep. I was focusing too much on my breathing and I just started to panic. Deep belly breathing does help. I think most people with anxiety problems focus too much on how we are feeling. Its just part of the teritorry. I hope it gets better for you soon sending hugs your way.

oh YES, You are not alone.
I get that an it is so hard to deal with...
Do what the others said, try belly breathing, read a book, clean the house.. anything to refocus.
I think that positive self talk to the best thing that you can do... keep telling yourself that YOU ARE OK, you know that the Dr.'s have checked you out so a health issue is not there.
Keep your head up and know that you are not alone..
Hugs,
