Prozac side effect
| Mon, 12-05-2005 - 7:12pm |
I started taking Prozac 1 week ago for anxiety and anxiety related depression. This may sound strange but can it make your mouth taste gross, like bad breath or is this just another one of my suggestible nervous symptoms? And if so, do most of these type of side effects go away? If so, I can deal until it does.

Judy,
Actually, believe it or not, I have lived with that for the last 7 1/2 years or so! I have the same thing you had, except the last ent I went to said there is nothing that can be done ... A neurologist said it is damaged neverves in my nose, but there is a top doctor in Nebrask who I have contacted before who said he can fix it, however it requires surgery. It used to be so bad, i didnt want to get up, because if I slept it went away. But over the last year or so, its gotten considerably better ... For a while all of my favorite foods tasted horrrible, and I think I somehow reconditioned my brain to remember what they used to taste like, so now I can eat them again!
