Well girls, I am having some anxiety tonite, the darn tightnening of the throat, I wished it would go away. I haven't had this feeling in a while, so I am pretty bummed it has decided to 'rear it's ugly head' today :0(
I am trying to keep busy, but does anyone else have any ideas, until this attack subsides?
Thanx gang.
Love, Shasta

Stay positive, try affirmations. How about some exercise to get the endorphins going?? Or try the belly breathing, it helps the body retain CO2 and this relaxes the muscles. Which in turn should relax you ;-)

I am feeling anxiety tonight myself so you are not alone.

Safety in numbers!!

(((Shasta))) I am sorry to hear about this. Is it out of the blue or are you stressed? If it's something you can change, try to do so. If not, let it go. It isn't worth holding on to. If it's the free floating kind that you can't identify, I have to suggest keeping busy

Thanx gals, I so much appreciate your support,
And Lisa, You are so right, Safety in numbers!
That was so right on, it made me giggle! hee hee! :0D
I think I have just been over-doing things lately, after being a bum for so long, and today is the 5th anniversary that I had to say good-bye to my beloved cat, Shasta Gold. There just seems to be a lot of stress lately around here-A new auto shop that is noisy (& rude),finances, health issues, whatever, I guess that goes with the territory, especially this time of year.
I am sure some of you can relate.
It can make anyone anxious! Yuck!
But I am feeling LOTS better tonite! Yay! I just kept myself busy, and even went to chat for a bit (thanx gals!)So all is well this evening.
I hope all is well with you guys too! I hope you have a peaceful Wednesday, too! <3
I am sending P&PT's your way! GBU!

Shasta,

I am happy to hear that you are feeling better, Sounds as though the meds are working.. what could have been a potentially really bad time wasn't as bad as it could've been, probably because of the meds.

I am on lexapro and I still get anxious juts not as bad....

Glad that you were able to go to chat, that always helps me...

((Shasta)) I didn't know you were having an anxiety attack last night?! Did you share that in chat, I'm so sorry. I hope you are feeling better today:) That tightening of the throat thing - I've just started having that this past week. I figured it was anxiety coming on & have been doing my best to ignore it. It is very uncomfortable. I hope you found some outlets, I'm sure chat last night was one of them. Exercise, journaling, reading a good book or magazine, napping - they all generally are working for me. Anything to take my mind off of it. If nothing works, can you take another ativan? It might be worth asking for those rare times when you need it.
Hugs,
Sheri Ann
