My doctor and I decided that perhaps I need this element of treatment along with the Zoloft. The panic attacks have been increasing the past several days and I just cannot tolerate it anymore. So hopefully this works and I can retrain my brain to deal with all of this a bit better than I am.

Just thought I'd let ya all know. :)

Good luck! I think a lot of doctors will agree that it's a combination of therapy and meds that have the best effect. I've been doing both for years (have an appt. today). I'm finally getting to the point of having some breakthroughs. It's taken a long time and a lot of work but I'm getting there. Honesty is the key when dealing with the therapist. I tried to gloss over things in the past and I wasn't helping myself at all. Now that I realize where some of my problems stem from I can address them head on and make positive changes. It really works so give it time and don't give up.

I have done some stints with therapy & always felt it was worthwhile. It takes an outside observer to be objective sometimes. We don't always have the capability of seeing our behavior for what it is or isn't. Good luck to you, bluemarlin_girl! Keep us posted on your progress. (((hugs))) jan

Good for you. It is always said that therapy along with meds is usually the most effective treatment...

Hugs, and let us know how it goes....
