I don't have a spouse & currently no SO. I hope others can help you out, Lynn. I do know that certain people's statements & behaviors in the past could trigger me, but I learned that they can only bother me if I allow them too. Don't get me wrong, I still get upset with folks, but I am better able to realize that I am responsible for how they make me feel. If I need to, I walk away. Good luck & GBU! (((hugs))) jan

hahaha!
YES, when I read this, I can tell you that my bf is DEFINITELY a trigger sometimes. We fight hard and love hard, so when things are rough I experience a lot of anticipatory anxiety about coming home from work, school, etc. and seeing him, wondering how we'll be with each other. Sometimes I'm anxious when coming home even when things are smooth, so go figure!

My Dh along with my DD (when they are together) are HUGE triggers for me, unfortunately!

I love both entirely, but they are so hard on each other when they get around each other it is ridiculous sometimes!!!

Good Luck!

My first thought when this thread started was, no way, not my dh.

If you have an anxiety disorder, any close relationship will be affected. I've been dealing with that with both my relationships - with my first bf who really was a jerk, and my current one who treats me like gold and gives me no reason to worry. Add the holiday season to that and wow! That's a lot of worry! I don't even celebrate and Christmas stresses me out.
