I just started Buspar & my doctor said it would be ok to drive, but all the info says not to until you know how it will work on you. Also, can anyone share if you've had success or not on this drug or anything else I should know about it. Thanks
I'm new to this board & look forward to getting to know everyone.

Hi Chris,

I just wanted to say "hi" and welcome you to the board.

Personally I would wait and see how the med effects you... I do that with any med.

I am curious as to how you like it, my pdoc has suggested that for me if need be... so as you go along I'd love to hear about your success.

My doc said she would add Lexapro if the buspar didn't work alone, i'm hoping it will because 1 med is too much as it is, i hate taking them.
PS. How do you get you graphic signature in you replies?

Welcome to our caring community, Chris. Nice to have you:) Please feel free to join our discussions or attend the chats. The info is located @ the top of this page, where it says learn more about this community!

ITA with Heather that waiting to see if the med makes you sleepy or not is the best way to go. From there, you can decide when driving is appropriate. Buspar is a good anxiety drug but it doesn't give the full effect right away. I'm sure your dr. explained that to you. I have known people who had relief of mild to moderate anxiety symptoms.

I KWYM I hate taking meds but I need to, just a fact of life for me.

I have the express yourself package, its like $4.00 a month.. the main reason I have it is because I wanted to be able to read 10 replies per page instead of one per page. A friend of mine made my signature, I am clueless on that stuff.
