That's a normal reaction to all the advances you made in therapy. In my experience, when we're looking head on @ what triggers our behavior, we want this info, but then again, we don't. Kind of ambivalent. You did very well working through the fear & anxiety. (((Jennifer))) Give yourself a pat on the back. These sensations are part of the anxiety & we all seem to be more sensitive to them. Riding the sensations out is the best way to describe it. Let yourself breathe. Allow yourself to totally relax. Remind yourself that you are healthy. There is nothing bad that will happen. Good luck & keep up the good work. (((hugs))) jan

I get slightly different symptoms - I get a little dizziness but rarely. Mostly, I just get numb and tingly in my arms.

This may seem like a random question, but do you know if you have acid reflux or not? I ask because I thought I was having a panic attack once but I had this horrible coughing and burning in my chest so I went to the ER. They ran a ton of tests and it turns out that I have acide reflux - the sphincter muscle at the top of my stomach malfunctions and releases acid into my espohagus. That's what causes the burning and the coughing. Once I got that treated, the coughing and chest pains nearly disappeared (unless I decide to throw caution to the wind and eat something really spicy).

At any rate, I am really glad that you were able to rtecognize what was happening and calm yourself down. Go you!

I get the hot flashes too. When I went to the ER during my last attack, I had a hear rate of 118 (after sitting waiting for an hour) and my temperature was 99.3 - weird. Luckily, I don't get the feelings that lots of people get that they have other physical illnesses. My panic - TRIGGER WARNING - takes the form of feeling like I am standing on the edge of sanity and I worry that I may go crazy and never come back from it.
