a severe headache in the back of my neck and head.
I am sorry you are going through this this morning.
It sounds like a panic attack mixed with anxiety. I know through the years my panic attacks have changed. It is so hard to deal with sometimes.
The worst is waking up with them. Maybe you had a bad dream that you can not remember and it caused you to panic. This has happened to me in the past.
I really hope you feel better soon and your weekend is peaceful.

Having made many trips to the ER in the past with PA's, I can say that only you can decide what's best for you. Anxiety/panic symptoms do change. They don't always follow the book or follow the previous symptoms that you have experienced. They are *sneaky* that way. Always trying to keep us on edge & messing with our minds. The best revenge is to *trick* them into thinking they don't bother us. That we will be just fine. That we are in no danger & cannot be harmed by them. Noone ever died with a PA. Honest, Jennifer.
That being said, everyone's heart rate increases for many different reasons. Exercise is one that comes to mind & as you know, it's a rarity that we hear about an athlete that has a stroke during an exercise session. But, we fear what we don't know & the anxiety keeps us so discombobulated, that we begin to doubt our common sense. I have BTDT & it's so hard to keep focused & NOT be scared out of your wits.
My heart rate increases when I'm scared. However, as a nurse, I know that when it's beating faster & harder,
Thanks you guys for your support.
I didn't go to the ER.

I am glad you're ok, Jennifer. After what you went through, you will feel kind of washed out & spacey. Be kind to yourself & maybe spend time with your dd in a less demanding activity. Does she like to color? That is a quiet activity & is relaxing.
Remind yourself that you made it through successfully. Use that experience the next time you get anxious. Think positive thoughts. As you learn to cope, you will feel less distressed when it happens. You will learn to focus less on health concerns.
BTDT=Been there done that
