Just wanted to let you know that I just made an appointment with a new counselor. It was easier to call than I thought. In the past I have only had male counselors but the new one is a woman. Do you think anxiety is hormone related somethimes??? Every pregnancy I have I have sever anxiety. Maybe I am post-partum

I'm glad it was easy for you to make the appt, That is always a relief. I found the same thing as well. I'm more worried about firing my current therapist, lol
IMHO, I think hormones can play a big part of anxiety. I was ok during my pregnancies but after my son (2nd child) was born I had a lot of anxiety & even paranoia. I've already read that things can get worse around that time of the month. I would ask and see what the couselor has to say about it.
Best of luck to you. I hope this lady works out : )
Hugs
Danielle
Hugs & Positive Thoughts Always,
Good luck with the new counselor. Please keep in touch. We care about you.
Hormones can be a trigger for many of us. Like Danielle, I was anxiety free during both my pregnancies, but had a severe spell of anxiety after the birth of my second dd. If you have fears that you're suffering from post partum depression, please see your ob/gyn or family physician. That can be serious IMHO. You can certainly discuss your symptoms with the new counselor, but she wouldn't really be able to give a confirmed diagnosis. Alot of women have posted on the board that their ob/gyns were very competent in meeting their post partum needs. Nice to see you. (((hugs))) jan
