Thank you all who wished me positive thoughts today, it really helped.
Well, as I left this morning the roads were snow covered and slippery, I could hardly see from the glare and the snow coming down. Very slowly (about 35mph) I drove the trek to school. I did not stop at all along the way, I was afraid if I stopped for that treat I would never get back in the car. As I got closer the roads got a little better and I drove 45 ;-)
I found my way down to the ER and we sat on our nursing butts for 2 1/2 hours. Had 2 patients with VERY mild treatments(a couple ibuprofen)and sat the rest of the day. I was very disappointed with the day. Was hoping for a little excitement or interesting treatments BUT my slow day meant that people were safe and healthy. So I cannot be upset. The main reason for the slow day is that I have my clinicals at the smaller hospital in the town. The major trauma goes to the big hospital across town.
I am still feeling anxiety, It is creeping under the surface. I am just feeling a little off these days I guess. Planning to study a bit tonight and go to sleep early.
I did stop at Krispy Kreme on my way home! This was the last day to get some before they close, now what am I going to get fat on??
Thank you all soooo much,
Lisa

Yeah!! That is so great that you got there and made it though the day.

Hey Lisa,
Krispy Kreme, OHHHH!! Those are so good!!! I am so glad about your lack of injured people
also. But you wonder why you were the one on a slow day huh? because I have seen some
busy ER's as you have I am sure, but for that perticular day, well with the drive is
probly was a good thing.
Hey chocalate is real easy and boy HuMMMMMMMM. well I am glad you are home safe and sound
and hey if we need comfort sometimes so be it.I know when I finally get on the floor for
good I am going to lose this storage of food for energy, well that is the way I am
justifying it now. HAGWeekend ((((BIG HUGS)))

Sheri Ann,
Today I tried to keep my mind off things and went grocery shopping, the bad treat of the day is chocolate cupcakes with rich chocolate frosting and a shot of white with sprinkles...lol.
Thanks for the support,
Lisa
I"m glad to hear yesterday went well for you. Though the Advil must have been anticlimactic after all that buildup!!!!

Hi Lynn,
My day was a little slow but the good news is I don't have to turn in any paperwork for the day....lol.
I am giving up the krispy kreme, which is easy since they are closing. I hope to start up a new exercise regimen very soon. Right after midterms!!
Thanks for thinking me,
Lisa
