I use a combination of methods, so I didn't vote. I keep myself calm & quiet by following a routine of reading, listening to relaxing music, drinking Sleepytime tea with chamomile, take a warm soak in the tub, belly breathe & listen to the ocean nature sounds on my alarm clock, as I lie in bed. HTH. Thx for getting this started, Amy. (((hugs))) jan

Keep the ideas coming....it's been five days now since a full night of sleep. I've been getting about three a night since then. Very frustrating. I'm finally doing a phone screening with someone at the health center.

I really don't understand what is going on. I don't feel anxious exactly, and I'm not worrying about something, but I just can't sleep. And the pulse in my ears thing is driving me NUTS!

Am trying a shower, facial mask and tea before bed tonight...

Do you take anything to sleep? Before I was on prescription meds I used to take Tylenol Pm and it knocked me out all the time.

Have you tried "Sleepytime Tea"? I LOVE all kinds of tea but that is so soothing at night...Instead of a shower maybe take a hot bath and then follow with some tea and a book in bed....

Hugs and I hope that you get to sleep soon!!!!

:o) Yes...I have some Sleepytime tea.

I with I had a bathtub...I have a mini-bathroom with a shower stall.

I am very reluctant to take sleeping medication at this stage, as it has only been a few days. It's something I'd kind of like to hold back for in case it gets *really* bad....

I think I'll go to the bookstore tomorrow and pick up some fluffy fiction. It's occurred to me that "Permission Marketing" probably isn't the best thing to wind down with! For tonight I have half an issue of Allure...

Thanks for the suggestions!

Amy
