I woke up with a panic attack this morning.
I can answer *yes* to the chills preceding a panic attack. I don't know why that is, but if I get chilled & start to shiver some sort of reaction takes place. The chills are sometimes just the wierd sensations that I get. Noone else seems to be cold around me. It can all lead to a PA if I don't think positively & begin the belly breathing.
I know how you feel, Jennifer. I am sorry you experienced this. Waking with a PA is bad stuff in my book. It's too late sometimes to start
(((Jennifer))) I, too, wake up in a panic as you described.

Thank you, Jan.

I'm wondering if the increase isn't causing some of this too.

I'm sure once the medication is in your system that your anxiety will diminish.

Sometimes I dream about having a panic attack---- it is so
annoying to me!!! I hope that soon you will feel much better!
These attacks don't bother me too much except when VERY REAL
dreams occur!! The xanax stops the panic for me also. Take care! Judy

Whenever I have a panic attack I alternate between chills and feverish heat. It is the worst, I am freezing with chattering teeth so I bundle up then I get relly hot and sweaty. It feels horrible. I also get nausea, diarrhea, racing heart, and vomiting. Thank goodness I haven't had a bad PA since September.
I have woken up from a bad dream in a panic, usually during very stressful times. My subconscious mind is trying to work through a problem and it wakes me with a racing heart and hard to catch breath.
Gosh I hope the Celexa increase kicks in and you feel better soon. This anxiety/panic stuff is so cruddy.
Hang in there, we are here for you,
HUGS
