Well, on a positive note, I got to sleep pretty easily last night. I focused a lot on the routine of things, and even added a hot bath to help me relax and just treated everything as part of the routine, one step at a time. And I think that mindset helped somehow. I fell asleep more quickly than normal and slept very well.

Also, I finally re-subscribed to the Express Yourself Plus package. I had it before, but it ran out and I wasn't using ivillage much so I didn't renew it. But now I'm wanting to use it more, and I just can't stand to use it very much if I have to just look at one post at a time. lol So now I can use the fun colors again, and I'm hoping to have a fun sig. soon. :)

On not such a fun note, I had a rough time on the ride home tonite. We only have one car and my husband uses it because he needs it to get around the city to all of his clients, and I stay in one place (i work at a school) all day so I don't need it. He takes me to and from work each day. And I don't go anywhere the rest of the time unless he's home, since he has the car, so he always drives then too. It's been this way for years, and we've noticed how this has made me VERY dependent on him, and very fearful about driving on my own.

I know all about that anxious feeling, Heather. I don't do well on bridges or in tunnels or bumper to bumper traffic. I do alot of belly breathing as I drive across the many bridges here. Always keeping my fingers crossed that there won't be any traffic snarls or accidents to slow me down.

Glad you have the routine started & slept better. Wishing you lotsa luck! Love your colors, BTW! (((hugs))) jan

Heather,

I love your new siggy! It is so pretty. I have been thinking about joining up to get the fun services like colors and siggy's but I need to wait until I graduate and have some $$ coming in.

I am so glad the evening routine is working out for you. I often use routines to get me through the day too. I strayed from my bedtime routine a bit and have had trouble sleeping so I need to get back on track ;-)

Keep up the good work,
Lisa

We are wanting to become foster parents. We just finished the required class. We have a home visit from a social worker on Monday. (talk about a sorce of anxiety!!!!) We are not ready to license yet though because there are still many things we need for our home that we don't have the money to get right at this moment.

As for the sig, I just went to the signature showcase messageboard and requested one. Isn't it lovely?? I really like it a lot!! :)

Do you see my siggy? If it's that off center thing about the Health & WB message boards, then that's all I have. I have been on iVillage for a few years. This is absolutely crazy, but tonight I'm going to share. I have gone to Sig Showcase countless times. I have read the instructions. I have seen other's siggies posted & they were happy with them. I am terrified to post my request over there. I am as serious as a heart attack. Is this some sort of phobia? What is the matter with me? Why can't I do this? I am afraid I'll mess it up or do something wrong that will draw attention to myself): I shared this with another person on iVillage & she offered to request a siggie for me & I will give her my password & she will put it in. I have been thinking alot about doing it this way because I feel like such a loser): I am going to cry if you guys don't reply to my insanity. Just when I think I have my confident act down pat, a little thing that is probably meaningless to others, crops up. Oh, well. I am doomed to siggielessness, I guess. jan

Jan,

I am replying to your so called insanity. Innocent until proven guilty I say...LOL.

I plan to go to this siggy showcase and see what all the fuss is about. Maybe someone on the board here can walk you through it. Certainly not me, I could offer my lovely injection skills, maybe an IV, or a head to toe nursing assessment?? Or how about some old fasioned moral support! I would go for that one if I were you....lol

Good luck on the nighttime routine Heather. I understand about the car thing as not only am I now unable to drive myself but I get very anxious even riding in a vehicle. Like you I trust my partner, she's not the one I worry about. There are certain situations that make me feel as if I'm about to jump out of my skin and alot of cars around us is one of them. There are times I make my partner pull over and let me try to get myself back together. Now that's bad but bless her heart she does it without so much as a wimper. LOL
