Sheri he must be a real Ahole if his staff keeps quiting on him. Don't feel alone mine isn't worth the time of day either. Sorry this happened but I can relate.
Sounds like the pdoc needs some behavior modification on how to run an office!
I'm with Jan...perhaps you could find a therapist to talk to? I know that I looked for a clinical psychologist b/c I am familiar with their training. I wasn't sure if a social worker would be experienced with C/B therapy.
Anyhow, maybe you could meet with the therapist weekly and only check in once every month or so with the pdoc for the meds? That's what my mom does - she sees the pdoc for meds stuff b/c she's on so many other pills for other reasons.
Have you tried calling your health insurance company and explaining the situation. I'm not sure what kind you have and workmans comp might complicate things but it might be something to look into. I know with my insurance there are case managers you can call (they help coordinate the quality of your care). I had a problem similiar to yours a few years back (long story) and finally called my insurance company to complain about what was going on and the situation was resolved quickly. I know insurance and related laws vary from state to state but I would look into this. I can not believe that no one notified you that your appointment was cancelled. If your doc had no office staff HE should have personally called his patients! I would definately find a new doc if you can! You really shouldn't have to suffer another few months...
Sounds as if you're up the proverbial creek, Sheri Ann. Throwing lotsa magic fairy wand type dust around for you;) Treebreeze has given you a bit of hope. Dumping this in comp's lap might not be a bad idea. How can you ever expect to get well without acceptable treatment??? Good luck, gf. (((hugs))) jan
I am so sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. I was wondering if there is an doctor in place while yours is on vacation? If not, maybe you could call your internist to explain how to up the meds. It sounds like this guy doesn't have much to offer, and It stinks that he didn't let you know ahead of time that he would be out of town.
I am so sorry. Let us know how things go. In the meantime, I would try your internist. You might get some help there.

The situation is truly grim.

I do see a therapist, either weekly or every 2 weeks, depending on how I'm doing.
