i have a flushing problem when i speak in groups (like at work.) even on a basic SSRI it isn;t managed. i have been able to manage it with inderal prn (as needed) and i just take it ahead of a big training, or meeting or something where i know i will most likely be put on the spot in some way. now we are TTC baby #2 and i am scared to death not to be able to use this med.

anyone else out there with this problem and found another way to handle it? i keep wondering if i was to go up on one of the ssri;s this might help? i take paxil 10 mg (right now) but i will have to transition to somehting else since we are TTC.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Erika, I took Inderal my whole pregnancy, 4x/day.

Inderal is a beta blocker. I have been on beta blockers for years because of irregular heartbeat & blood pressure. Like Sheri Ann, I took my meds during pregnancy. In fact, my doctor told me I would place the baby @ a higher risk if I didn't take my med to control blood pressure. This is a concern you should take to your dr.

There are others in our community who take meds for flushing/blushing when speaking before a group. I hope that helps reassure you, that you are NOT alone. Good luck! (((hugs))) jan
