The rain is killing me!!!!!

WOW, usualy I do not post, but this rain phobia is about to do me in. For 3 yrs. not working outside the home, I had not one problem with it. I would get out and shop, go out with friends but since I have went back to work part-time, 16 miles from home. I am an absolute basket case. Husband had to pick me up after work the other night and we DO NOT work close together. From the time he left work and picked me up and we got home it took him an hr and a ½. My heart was beating so hard I thought i was going to have a heart attack, was crying the whole bit. Now those of you who know me, know that I am a long timer with this disorder. I would be able to tell you how to deal with it but everything I know just flew out the window. Whats the deal???? I can watch the news and hear the weather ........extended forecast, rain next week and I feel my breathing get all stressed, chest tight etc. All suggestions will be appreciated. Actually I am embarrassed. :((

(((Debbie))) I am sorry to hear about this): Don't be embarrassed. This is what we're here for.
It stands to reason that you have alot of change in your life when taking on
I can tell someone what to try and hope they can do it---
when I get a new panic attack or fear I FEEL LOST TOO!!
Especially with something new!
The only thing that seems to work is to face it---
you will be OK- you will drive that car- you will be scared
at first but with time it will be magically GONE!!! and
you will have conquered it! Why do we have to go through this??
I haven't a clue! I hate it also and dread it---
but I have to keep going! You are so brave to have taken this job!!
HUGS TO YOU!!! Hope this helps!! Judy
Debbie wish I had some words of wisdom for you but I don't. I can tell you though that I can not be in a vehicle if it's raining out or a panic attack is sure to come. Also can't be in a vehicle if it's snowing out or if it's night.
