That's a shame): I never liked to watch my kids suffer. I felt as if it was happening to me. Even now, Jas fell & twisted her ankle & it's a bit swollen. She's off to get an x-ray, but the tears were streaming down her face & I was getting that tight feeling in my chest & biting my lip.

As for the cavities, both my kids took the fluoride pills @ school & I think that may have helped keep their teeth good. Jas has never had a cavity @ 18. Meg only

I asked for those darn floride pills and they told me they don't use them anymore!

Sheriann,

I remember taking a prescription multivitamin as a kid. When older I asked my mom why I had to have Rx vitamins, and her response was that since we had well water at the time the doc had prescribed them so I didn't have to take a vitamin and a fluoride pill. Have you asked about that?

Also, what about the kids ACT mouthwash or asking your dentist about getting a fluoride rinse for Ian to use once a week. I've also seen fluoridated bottled water specifically for children.

It sounds like the little man was really brave. I would guess that EVERY parent's anxiety would be through the roof at a time like that. It sounds to me like you handled it really well.

I hope he feels better soon!

Poor little guy. Hope he gets to feeling better!

My girls are all different when it comes to their teeth. The oldest and youngest do not have cavities and are not fond of a toothbrush. Now the middle one always brushes and gets cavities!

Go figure??
