I just read your post, and it felt like i could have written it myself. I am so sorry you are going throught a rough time. I know exactly how you feel, because my mind races constantly, and sometimes I feel like I am going out of my mind. Just read some of my past posts.
What I loved the most about your post is that you ended it on such a happy note. It made me smile, and I know that was not your intention. You seem like a great person, and I know you will get through whatever is troubling you. Good thing you came here.
I know what it's like to have the obssessive thinking. Some of the suggestions made by others in the past are to throw up a stop sign in your head or allow yourself a certain period of time to think & re-think, then move on. It does get easier with time & practice.
I have had troubles after talking with my *T* too. I feel kind of exposed telling so much. I have always worried waaaay too much what others think. I don't know if that's how you feel, Heather, but I remind myself that he's a professional & trained to deal with these things. I know he isn't judging me. Hope you feel better soon. (((hugs))) jan
PS Love the siggie. The quote is especially meaningful.
Well, besides being excited about my new sig., I was trying to think of something positive to say after ranting about what a rotten day I had.
On ANOTHER positive note, DH and I went to Target tonight and I bought a cd that has nature sounds on it, gonna give it a try at night and see if it helps me sleep. :)
Also, MizHeidi who has made both of my signatures for me said she'd be happy to make one for anyone else. So let me know if you want her email address or you can visit her and all the other wonderful signature makers on the signature showcase messageboard. :)
Heather I too understand how you feel! It is so distressing to me to keep thinking and thinking and EXHAUSTING!! Despite being on Meds and therapy for what seems like 100 years I have periods of obsessing--- I try to get physical then and walk, swim, dance or whatever I can do!! I love the siggy!! Tomorrow is another day make time to enjoy yourself!! HUGS! Judy
I love your new siggy!
