Questions about Zoloft

I just finished my starter pack of Zoloft. Since it seems to be working well with the decreasing of my anxiety and depression, my doctor prescribed it for me. I am taking it at night because it makes me very tired by the end of the day if I take it in the morning. The past week or so I have noticed that when I get up in the morning, I feel a bit shaky. Not bad, but I notice it. By the time I am at work and doing things, it goes away. Does it sound like it could be a side effect? And if so, should I give it a while before I veto the Zoloft? I also feel as if I am in a "fog" for part of the day, by the late afternoon, I feel fine though. Do these side effects usually go away after a few weeks? I am going to call my doctor about it on Monday if it continues through the weekend (part of me thinks it could be anxiety from not being at home), but any advice I get here would be great!

Thank you!
Jessica

There are tons of possible side effects, Jessica. The meds affect each of us differently. Both of the feelings that you are experiencing can also be attributed to anxiety & depression. So, it's really hard to say. Many times these feelings go away. If they don't & they are so uncomfortable that it interferes with our functioning normally, that's a good time to ask the dr. Zoloft is a good med. I hope you can stay on it since it seems to be helping, but you & your dr. need to decide. Is this the first antidepressant you have been on? It sometimes takes a couple of tries to get one that works well without side effects. Good luck & keep in touch! (((hugs))) jan

Hi Jessica, I can't remember how many days are in a starter pack.
