I have a wierd question....

Three weeks ago I went to see my doctor in the middle of a horrible panic attack (the worst I have ever had). This was before I wes prescribed the Zoloft. I was given a shot of demorral to calm me down. I am still sore in the area I got the shot and there is a tiny red dot right where the needle went in. Is this something I should be concerned about? I am not scheduled to see my doctor again until July (I have seen her about 4 times in the last three weeks though). I had figured I would wait another week or so and if it still is sore, I was going to call her and ask if I should worry. But, as we all well know, worry is a part of our everyday lives.;) I have bugged the two women I work with about this and they have told me the nurse probably hit a muscle just right or a maybe hit a blood vessel. I just wondered what some people on here might think. Thank you for any help!

How are youdiong so far on Zoloft? When do you take it? Aany bad side effects? Is it helping your anxiety? I am trying to pump myself up to start it this week. I have had the prescription for a while but am nervous about it. I can't live like this anymore though.

As for the shot, I would give your doctor's office a call and just ask a nurse about it. They can probably tell you if it's abnormal or not.

I take the Zoloft at night. When I started taking it, I took it in the morning, but I found it made me drowsy, so I talked to my doctor and she said it was okay to take it at night. So far, no bad side effects, although I do feel as if I am "in a fog" sometimes during the day, but that could also be the anxiety. If you are worried about taking it, I will tell you that it was first given to me over a year ago and I refused to take anything. The anxiety just worsened until it finally escalated into panic attacks and I started not wanting to leave the house. Since taking the Zoloft, I do feel better. I did do some research online first though. You can go to www.zoloft.com and they will answer a lot of your questions.

Thanks for your response. I can't take dealing with this anymore. I was hoping I could take it at night b/c I work two jobs and being drowsy during the day is not an option. Glad there are no other scary side effects happening for you. :)

I worry because I don't know if zoloft is the right thing for me or not. I keep hearing people say that it's mainly for depression and that the side effects are bad. And obviously for an already anxious person, these are not comforting words to hear. :(

Hi, Jessica! I give myself insulin injections everyday. I have given plenty of injections as a nurse. If it's red, feels hot to the touch, is painful, throbs, feels lumpy, bumpy or swollen, has streaks of redness shooting into the skin around it,
