Tough night
| Fri, 04-28-2006 - 2:29pm |
I took my third Zoloft pill last night. Tough night. Woke up in the middle of the night and was up for over an hour, could not sleep. Felt like my entire body was shaking on the inside. Finally fell back asleep and woke up every 30 minutes until my alarm went off. I was so tired. I got up and was immediately nauseous - almost threw up. Called out of work but I felt better within an hour and have been ok since except for a slight headache. I feel guilty and bad now for taking off from work, my boss gave me a little bit of guilt for it. I just said my stomach was bothering me. :( Oh well. Hopefully the side effects will get better, not worse.
Thanks for listening.
Thanks for listening.

Hi, Lisa! Here's some magic dust to make you feel better:) Bosses have a way of making us feel guilty when we don't come in. As long as you haven't been missing alot of time, it should be ok. If not, is he the sort of boss that you could explain things to? You don't have to tell anything you're not comfortable with. Just that the new med is making you a little *off* & you're waiting for those feelings to subside.
Do you have the weekend off? That will give you 3 more days to get the zoloft under your belt. Maybe catch some extra ZZzzz's this weekend & make lots of time for yourself. You'll be in good shape for a fresh start on Monday. Good luck!
As for the inner shaking, that is something I have had whenever my anxiety is high. I have told others that it feels like I have a motor running. Sometimes it's scary. I practice relaxation & belly breathing if it gets too much. Most of the time, keeping my mind & body busy helps make it less obvious. HTH Keep in touch. (((hugs))) jan
Jan,what is that inner feeling?Do you know?I have the same inside feeling. My insides feel like they are vibrating, when I am having anxiety.
I hope tonight goes better for you!

I get that feeling, too, I hope Jan has some input.

Still not feeling so hot. Yesterday I felt okay during the day, then last night I felt kind of fuzzy and dizzy. Slept better than Thursday night but still work up for about a half an hour with the shaky feeling and a little nauseous. Today I am dizzy, fuzzy and just feel almost like I am bipolar, one minute happy the next minute almost going to burst into tears. I am considering stopping the meds and relying only on the Xanax for the next 2-3 weeks, as I have so much going on and I can't stand this not knowing how I am going to feel from one moment to the next b/c of the zoloft. I have confidence that in time I'll feel better, but with so much going on, I don't know if I can wait right now. :( Tough call.
Lisa
Hi! I hope things are getting better for you. I have been taking the Zoloft for four weeks on Monday. I still get the shaky feeling and I have a headache often, but I have come to the conclusion that it is not the meds,it is my own anxiety. I am giving the Zoloft another three to four weeks to work it's magic, and if it doesn't do the trick, I am going to call my doctor and request a change in medication. I would like to stay on the Zoloft though, as I have read many reports that it is okay to take during pregnancy and DH and I want to try for a baby again later this year.
It is important to give the Zoloft time to work. Also, until it has time to work, there is absolutely no shame in using the xanax to stay calm. I took ativan up to three times a day the first week I was on the Zoloft.
Good luck and I hope things start to get better!

(((Lisa))) Maybe you should give your doc a call on Monday and let him/her know what's going on.
