Hi everyone,

Well, I just came back from my doctors appt., and I'm a mess. I just had to take a xanax to calm me down.

I just went in for a follow up appt and things were going well until she mentions the word "EKG"! She wanted to know if I had one at my last ER visit and I told her no, she was kind of upset that they didn't do one, although I've had 3 done within the past 3 months. So she just brushes it aside and doesn't mention it again, but there I am getting all nervous and panicking when she mentioned it. I felt a heat rush go through me and then it went away. She thinks alot of my anxiety his being caused my homones because every time my panic attacks hit, it's always that time of the month. I have have to go back in one month to see if the lexapro is helping during my periods, if not, she wants me to start a low dose of birth control pills, eventhough I've had my tubes tied. What's more upsetting is that she will no longer be my doctor!!! :( She is a Navy doctor and is being deployed to Iraq, althoug she is referring me to another doctor who she thinks is great.

So now that I'm home, I feel anxious still and had to take a xanax!! Do any of you ever get this way when visiting your doctor??? It's driving me crazy!! I just need someone to talk to right now. Can't wait for the chat tonight!!

Well, thanks for listening!!

Hi, Leanne! Thx for stopping by with an update. It seems sort of natural for folks with anxiety to focus on physical concerns. When you felt anxious about the EKG,
