I wanted to share that I have been staying alone the last few Saturday nights. My dd stays with friends & my oldest stays with gramma:) I admit that I have to check the locks a few extra times, sleep on the sofa with the lights on & the dog & our 3 cats beside me. I know. I know. What a wuss! LOL But, this fear of being alone has to be dealt with. I have found that it goes alot better when I stick to my regular routine. No upsets, like scary movies or arguments. Just a quiet movie or reading a good book or listening to

(((Jan))) Sounds like you did great with the kids gone! I worry about the day mine will be too busy to sit home with their Mom. Suppose I will just work extra shifts at whatever job I get. Then I can do some real shopping..LOL.

My weekend was pretty tame I did some paper shredding, took a nap, and finished up some homework. I still have a few things to work on and then I will be done forever..lol. The girls spent some time outside and helped out a little bit. We are all desperate for something fun to do and this week will be busy again. Maybe soon we can go away for the weekend or something.

Jan I hear ya!! Going to be here alone for 11 days!!
ARGH! I have projects lined up and lots of cleaning to do!
The beach is heavenly and I will go there for sure---
I just pray that I don't get panicky!! Worried about the nights!
Saturday we went in the pool and relaxed then went out for dinner-
Today everyone came over for a cookout! That was FUN!!
They are all excited to go to Germany and I am soooooooo
wishing the plane ride was shorter so I could join them----
hopefully I can get on a short ride and get over my fear of flying!!
I plan on staying upstairs at night locking all the doors and
cruising the internet and watching movies! A friend may come to visit
during the second week-- that will help.
Son is doing better now so that is a BIG RELIEF!!! HUGS TO ALL! Judy

I remember those days when I had a problem with being alone at night. You are doing fine; and you are doing a good job facing that fear. I don't know where it comes from Jan, but the fear is real and you are going to get better at it.

It's so unreal how much work I seem to be doing. The darn grass will not stop growing (LOL) so I'm doing yard work every week. I cut the yards after work Thursday rather than wait until this weekend. Yesterday I got my mother's day present early; dd and son-in law power washed the house. I did help with moving the yard furniture, but they mostly kept telling me to sit down and enjoy my gift. It really was a great gift because the siding needed washing badly. Ds is going to paint the trim on my house as his gift. I know to you "younger" women that this all sounds so dull and boring, but this widow needs help now and again. Then today I went to church, returned this really cute bermuda short suit (it was linen and just wrinkled so fast and badly; looked like I slept in it), made trips to grocery store and to greenhouse for herb plants, planted herbs, cleaned the bird bath and then made a trip to the local ice cream shop with grandkids and dd. Right now I'm bushed!!!, but it was a good day. Weather here in St Louis was beautiful too. My weekends are all like this; check bills, yard work, shopping, cooking a little and suddenly it's 9pm. Well it's back to work tomorrow and hopefully a good week is ahead. That's my wish for all; have a wonderful week!!
Blessings,
suz

WOW! I love running the shredder:) Between that & popping bubble wrap, I could make a darn good career. Unfortunately, the pay is low. LOL

I hope you can get away, too, Lisa. You need to take care of yourself after all these stressful last few weeks of school. Any amusement parks in your future? That's something my girls love. Good luck! (((hugs))) jan

Always great to hear from you, Judy. I hope those 11 days pass quickly & easy on you. Spending time @ the beach & with friends will keep the loneliness & boredom away. Sure wish I could be in your shoes:) Keep in touch. If you need to talk, we're here for ya! Sending P&PT's your way! (((hugs))) jan

Glad to see you, Suz;) It's really great to hear that your kids are taking care of you so well. Houses always look so much nicer after a power wash. That was a unique gift. I'd never have thought of it.

It amazes me how busy you keep. From what I have seen, that's a guarantee

Ya Jan that paper shredder is some good fun...LOL.

Unfortunately I have no $$ to take a trip! Or to pay bills either ;-) I will be looking for work over the next couple weeks and hopefully find something good.
