I have been going to therapy 2x a week, and i have it in the morning, and i noticed that i am more anxious than i normally am when i have therapy, and then following it...

--Hi Tia, I'm Heather. I noticed whenever I went to therapy I was more nervous then I thought I should be. Maybe because I was wondering what we were going to talk about, and me crying, and feeling like I have to pour my soul into someone who may not even care what I was feeling.
Maybe there's simply something on your mind, or you've been a little more stressed than you normally would be. I didn't make it a big problem because I didn't want to let it get to me. Once I settled in with him, I was perfectly fine and back to my talkative self.
Before you go next time, settle down quietly doing something like yoga, or meditation. If your really stressed and your therapist thinks your holding onto something, write a list of things that have been bothering you and maybe the two of you can bring some closure to this.
Stay strong!
Heather
I don't think you are getting a secondary gain from it at all.

Do you think this anxiety increase could have something to do with your hormones?? I tend to get 10x more anxious around my 'ladies days', you are pregnant ;-) Your hormones are definately changing. Give yourself a break and relax a little. Things may shift during the second trimester!!
HUGS,
Lisa
I agree, Lisa.
