I can totally feel for you. I have had that hit me twice in about 2 yrs. Once after I had been on treadmill, haven't been on one since and another time I was sitting in a parking lot at night talking with a friend after a Red Hat get together we had both been at. I like to never made it home. The spinning and dry heaving is just aweful. Once it is over I really don't think of it again until it happens, probably because it took so long between the times I have had it. Of course anything like that wants to mess with our anxiety level. Glad to hear you are doing better. Debbie
WB! It's always great to hear from the MIA;) It's good that the anxiety has been pretty much controlled & you have been able to get on with life, Jennifer. Sorry about the vertigo & nausea. It's something that I have faced with allergies as well. Occasionally I turn my head too quickly & there it is! As you know, I'm emtaphobic, so breathing through the nausea is about all I can do. Please be proud of yourself. You have learned many coping skills & now have a chance to fall back on them. Keep things in perspective. This incident is just a blip on the big radar screen of life. I am confident you can move past this. Good luck & GBU! (((hugs))) jan
Hope you are starting to feel better! It sounds like you had a rough couple days there. Glad you found your way back to us so we can offer you some support.
Try to take it easy, you have a lot of activities coming up and will need your strength.
Just wanted to let you know that back in March the exact same thing happened to me while I was at work. I became very dizzy and felt like I was going to pass out. My friend took me to the er and they have me meclizine for the dizzyness and IV's as I was also dehydrated. It was so freakin' scary, I am always scared it will come back. In fact, I carry one of those "dizzy pills" in my purse just in case. I was also told it was inner ear stuff, and sinus problems. So, maybe seeing an ear, nose and throat specialist would help? I have an allergist too.. anyway... you're not alone. Hope you feel better. Susan
