Headaches?

Does anyone else get headaches a lot?? Recently I am plagued with them, they are just horrible. I am certain it is related to stress/anxiety but don't want to keep taking ibuprofen/tylenol all the time. The obvious answer is to decrease the stress/anxiety.

Just wondered if anyone else had this problem too.

Thanks,
Lisa

On rare occasions, I am plagued with headaches. I am more likely to have alot of tension in my neck, shoulders & base of my skull. I know it's stress, so I do what I have found works for me. Meditating, lavendar scented warm baths,

Thanks for the tips Jan,

I have been meaning to try meditation for ages and have not gotten around to it ;-)I sometimes have the neck tension but usually just the headaches. They have been pretty frequent and painful, to the point I cannot bend over or my head just pounds. It zaps my energy too.

I need a clensing or something.

Thanks Sheri Ann,

I need to come up with something med free, I am afraid to take too much too often! At least I am not alone. Safety in numbers I always say.

I've done the hot baths, hot tub, heating pad & massage to myself with success!

Lisa,
I don't get headaches, but I heard that meditation, breathing, and yoga does wonders for some people. I remember in terms of meditation anyway, my dad/mom, who are very religious, prayed everyday. It always makes them feel good, because they do it so often. You probably know this anyway..the more you practice these relaxation techniques the more they become second nature to you therefore alleviating stress and I would *think* pain. They always feel good after prayer. I think Rodney Yee (yoga celebrity) mentioned in one of his yoga videos that after practicing yoga for a while, his father, who always irritated him in the beginning, became less of an irritant, because he had practiced yoga so long. It was really neat to hear..the fact that Yee automatically relaxed because he kept at practicing yoga.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. Maybe this will help provide further guidance?!

Thanks yaddiya!

I often forget about those breathing techniques. I am not good about practicing them or doing any yoga. My energy levels are low and my drive is even lower. I need some kind of push in the right direction ;-) or a giant kick in the behind.

I hope something makes them disappear! I am so not ready to take the boards so maybe losing something else will get rid of them ;-)
