I offered to take my soon-to-be 1 y.o. grandson for the day yesterday.

I'm happy to hear the day went so well for you. I remember when my dd brought my grandaughter for to me watch. She was only 6 weeks old. I really didn't want to do it but she needed someone to babysit while she worked and didn't want to do daycare. I was so scared that I would panic while I had her. I did have some edgey days but I made it and am still watching her, she'll be 5 yrs old the end of July!! She will go to kindergarten this Sept and I'm already missing her!! Isn't it something how usually our fears are worse then actually doing it!! Its the antisipating the anxiety that scares us off! We really need to set goals and push our boundaries. Keep up the good work. Sharon

That's great that you had such a good time, Sheri Ann. You faced alot of fears. WTG! I know that feeling of *what if I panic & I can't take care of the kids?* Back in the old days that was a serious concern practically everyday for me. I now feel alot better about things, but I do have concerns about caring for an infant. I have totally forgotten what those elfins need;) Also, what do you do with them when they won't stop crying? LOL Someday I will need to get back into the swing, if I am lucky enough to be a gramma! (((hugs))) jan
