I couldn't sleep last night for all the tossing & turning. My mind wouldn't stop racing. I overslept this morning & Meg missed her van. That hasn't happened in YEARS): They made a second pass & picked her up 10 minutes later. Thank goodness!

Is it really possible that my 18 yo dd, Jas, will be graduating from high school tonight? My BABY!!! I have butterflies in my stomach. Haven't even had my morning cup of brew because of pre-graduation jitters? LOL For those of you that have this experience under your belt, is this normal? For those who will have to face it someday, all I can say is, *oh, whatta ride!*

My neighbor & her dd, my mom, Meg & my gf from Alabama will be attending tonight. We'll be going out for dinner (where the gentlemen will meet us) @ the restaurant where Jas waitresses. She was very excited when I asked her if she'd like to do this. All she asked was that I give our waitress a good tip;) ROFLMBO Wish me luck! (((hugs))) jan

WOW! You were sooo *ON* Judy. It was a whirlwind evening for us. I never felt so proud or cried so much in my life. You guys have no clue what this experience was like for me.

Firstly, we have had our troubles. But, in spite of everything, that last 6 weeks of me kicking her behind out of bed & MAKING her go to school paid off. She graduated with honors. The great grades she had were enough to keep her there in spite of a couple semesters of not so

Wow Jan your evening sounds like it was sooo great! I am so happy for Jas and HONORS that is wonderful and I am so happy for you my friend......its all smooth sailing now I can feel it.

I remember the feeling well, we did it three years ago with DD and I will be doing it again the 30th of June for DS, I will be on that stage pushing him across it if I have to, it has also been a struggle all year with him, he is still just going to make it through with only 12 days left of classes and exams I will be on pins and needles that he passes all his courses!

But it is bitter sweet knowing that they have moved on to the next stage in life...where we lose something they are gaining....don't you kind of feel like you did all the work and and a big weight is lifted from your shoulders, its almost like we deserve that diploma!!! LOL

Just reading your post Jan I could feel the pride and the love that you felt for your beauitful DD tonite, I can see the sparkel in your eyes from here and the huge smile on your face. I am soo happy for the pair of you! Thinking of you always.......Bee

Thanks so much, Bee. I know I have cried on your shoulder alot this past year. You did have experience under your belt that I was able to tap into. That's what great friends are for:) Well, I will be keeping my fingers & toes crossed that your ds makes it across that stage. Having breathed my sigh of relief last night, I know what you're feeling. Nice to see you posting, BTW. It's been too long, my friend): Good luck & GBU! (((hugs))) jan
