Hi everyone,

Hope you are having a nice weekend.

We got our visa bill in and I know my husband is going to have my head. He decided to tell me about it right before I went to bed last night. Do you think I slept well?? No, I just ruminated about the conversation to come and how he was going to go throught the bill item by item.

I put everything on the card, groceries, clothing, medical, etc. I do this because he started his own business (a health club), and it is not doing well. He is very controlling, and needs to know everything that goes in and out. Put it this way, he gets mad at me if I buy a starbucks. He doesn't know what anything costs, because all he does is work, and wears a "gym" uniform. Yes, I know we need to cut back a lot, and I have. He has always been hard on me about money, because he never spends anything. I realize he is so stressed out, but he also needs to understand that we all are affected by his new business. He is running out of investor money, and it's getting really scary.

He is not a fair fighter, and he always makes me feel so small. I dread the conversation. I wish I had the strength to stand up to him, but I always back down. It is not a 'team" effort.

thanks for letting me vent. Kids are screaming! It's the witching hour.

Love, JD

(((Jolie)))

Money is frequently the cause of arguments in my home ;) Here are some things I do to avoid it. I take control of my own budget and make monthly charts to see where my money is being spent, then I study it and see where I can cut back. Usually I am overspending at Wal-Mart! You will feel very proud of yourself by doing something *you* can control.

Here is a link for an iVillage board that I lurk at it has some great tips:

Hope you are not getting too stressed out, I worry about you and those shingles. I know how busy you are with the kids and household, sahm's do so much work!! Maybe you could put the kids down for a nap and take a cool bath ;)

Take care,

Lisa
