Hi all, I am new to the board and any advice is welcome!!! I am curious if vitamins and excersize really help with anxiety? Also, I have suddely diagnosed myself allergic to shellfish and if I even think it was cooked in the same pan I freak. Has that type of thing happened to anyone? I could ask 1000 questions to, maybe, make me feel better about the whole thing, it is very depressing. Trying not to be a burden, trying to learn to cope!!! Sheri

Hi Sheri, My name is Kindra and I am a fellow Anxiety sufferer. Vitamins can do really great things to help releive stress and anxiety, the ones I take and strongly recommend are a good and strong Vitamin B Complex, Relora is a herb found to really help combat anxiety and help you relax, Garlic pills, and Rhodiola stress caps. I take all of these along with my everyday multi vitamin and I really do beleive it helps me. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me and I will answer them as best as I can. (I have done ALOT of research over the last 6 years) Good Luck!!!

I hope it works for you. I also added in flaxseed oil (capsule form). I am doing ok right now aside from the withdraw symptoms from coming off Zoloft. Next week will be the week before my period so I am hoping that the vitamins will be built up in my body by then and will prevent me from having another bad time around my period like I have for the last 2 months.

I have done the same thing. I will think I have a great idea about trying something, then will buy it, then sit there and look at it and think something might go wrong if I try it. It is very annoying. Most anytime I eventually tried something I had no issues so I hate that I do this knowing nothing bad will happen in most cases.

Hi Kindra. Are you on anything else like an SSRI or another drug?

They had me on Celexa, but it made me feel really terrible all of the time, so now I just have Xanex, to take when needed.

Gotcha. I have been on Zoloft but I took the last one Friday. It seemed like the lower the dose I was on, the better I felt, so I figured I'd try getting off of it. So far, I feel ok mentally, the withdraw is sucking though. I feel dizzy and nauseous and like I have the flu basically. I read that it is totally normal. Did you have this feeling when you went off Celexa?

When I went off of the Celexa, I felt rundown, and I had a headache for a few days, as for feeling like I had the flu, and being nauseaus all the time?? I always seem to feel like that, so I dont no if that is because you are going off of your meds or if it is your anxiety. Hopefully you feel better soon though!!

Thanks for the advice. I put the vitamins out on the counter so tonight I will take one. It is a multi with minerals. I felt better yesterday for the first time in a while. I guess I just didn't realize the thoughts I was having was over the top or abnormal. I still might think them but it isn't controling and gripping. I am not a medicine person (unless major cramps) so this sucks for me. Well I am sure nobody likes it!! Have a great night!! Sheri

Sheri, I'm not a medicine person AT ALL, either.
