AM Anxiety?

Hello, I am new here with a question.
I was really stressed out on Monday, I woke up Tuesday morning feeling numb through my legs and stomach. Wednesday I saw the doctor, she's going to book me for an MRI. I woke up this morning and the numbness was a bit worse.
At this point, she's thinking either MS or an anxiety disorder. So I need to try and relax - yeah right!
I'm just wondering if anyone experiences the same symptoms, and if they seem worse in the morning? Do they ever go away? What can I do? I'm active, my diet is good, my blood pressure is excellent. I've started listening to calming music and reading affirmations before bed. I've done some reading here in the archives as well.
TIA, obj

Hi. Welcome to our board. I have anxiety disorder and it is FAR WORSE in the mornings. I have often wondered if my hormones were out of whack even because of the way I cycle through the day. The morning is the worst then by evening I am usually okay. It is very annoying. Get your test results and rule out any medical issues first. That is what I did too. For me, it started with me getting very sick from high altitude hiking and dehydration. Once the physical symptoms were better, I started waking each day in a state of anxiety. I'd feel nauseous, nervous as can be, and very alarmed for no apparent reason. I'd have sweating spells too. It was awful. I'd have what I call waves come over me where I'd feel really bad and worse and worse and then my temp would feel like it was climbing and I'd break a sweat and feel better for a minute. Then it kept cycling. It was scary. I thought for sure something bad was wrong with me physically. The docs ran all sorts of tests and all came back clean (thankfully). It turned out to be anxiety disorder. The problem for me is that when I feel bad physically, my anxiety triggers. But to answer your question, yes, mornings are the worst.

Hey, I dont experience any numbness, unless I am having a panic attack. But I can definetly relate to anxiety being worst in the morning. (atleast for me it always is)Anyways, I really hope your MRI turns out to be just a little anxiety, please keep posting and let us know how you are doing!! Best of luck.....
