it seems i just cant have a regular life because i am thinking about food all the time, even though im not hungry, and i eat even whan im not hungry and obviosly when im alone( and when there is peope arround i wait till they are gone), i try drinking water to feel satisfied, or chewing gum, even taking walks and doing sports... but i end up eating everything i get hold of. im in no sort of diet and i eat till im satisfied in every meal, i also have snaks... so really i dont know what to do... im obviously gaining weight, but i feel the urge for something that tastes good even though om not hungry...
i go to the psichologist to control my anxiety but it doest work.
i would b thankful for any advice!

Hi there!

I'm sorry you're dealing with that right now! I have days when I'm like that..I'm not hungry, and I even feel like crap after I eat..but I still want to eat something..popcorn, candy..etc. I'm the worst about candy!
What helps me sometimes is to buy some kind of hard candy...like the chocolate ones, even though they're probably bad for your teeth. Last night, I wanted something sweet, so I ate a couple spoonfuls of frozen cool whip - tastes like ice cream, but it's only 20 calories.
Do you drink diet coke? I don't really like drinking water - I have to make myself. I LOVE diet coke though. That kind of helps sometimes when I want something for flavor, etc.
Let me know if you figure out something else that helps - I'd be interested!

Good luck,

Jenny

Nice to see you! I am sorry to hear this. I am no expert but am wondering if there have been any major changes in your life or a loss? Sometimes I have compulsive eating when really stressed out. Also, I was wondering if your taste buds were working ok? I know that sounds crazy, but sometimes illness or medications can change the way we taste our food. Have you seen a dr?

If you feel the therapy you're getting isn't working, perhaps you need a change. I know there are therapists who deal with folks having eating issues. Please don't give up. Please let us know how you're feeling & join in chats. We do care about you. Good luck & GBU! (((hugs))) jan
