Anyone improve anxiety related fatigue?

I've been dealing with anxiety for a while now. I was seeing a therapist but stopped. I'm working on securing an appointment(s) because the anxiety has gotten worse. One of the primary symptoms I experience is fatigue. I'm constantly exhausted and it shows on my face, which makes me feel worse. When I am stressed or more worried than usual, I get much more tired. I was just curious if anyone else has experienced this and was able to improve that symptom? Last time I talked to my therapist I started on a med but I'm not totally convinced a pill will do anything when the whole problem lies in how I think. Any comments or input are greatly appreciated :)

Stress can definitely wear us out!

Welcome! Nice to have you! I have had that exhaustion too when dealing with anxiety. I use the belly breathing & meditation to cope better. It also has a relaxing effect that helps give me a boost in energy. I bumped up a post in our *coping tips & tricks* folder below

As much as I would like to take a nap (or two or three) during the day, napping actually makes me twice as tired as I was before. I've been trying to do my breathing exercises but I need more than a short-term fix. I'm hoping to discuss meds whenever I get an appointment. I remember way back when I first started treatment I tried Lexapro and Buspar (?) and I think one of them had a better affect than the other.

Well, that stinks about the naps! I can take a 10-20 minute power nap & feel like I've slept for hours.
