Hi! I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. I feel that I cannot be home. I like to be out in about - Shopping, walking, busy, busy, busy. I think that if I give myself down time I will have more anxiety. I think that I am afraid to stop because then I will think and then I will have anxiety.

My Husband and I are planning our 1st away trip alone without kids (we have 4 all toddlers) and I think that I am a little afrad that I am going to have a major breakdown with out so much to do.

PS I just want to thank everyone for being so supportive, I am glad that people here understand me (it makes me feel a little less crazy). THANKS

I was just reading an article today that described exactly what you are talking about.

Have you ever heard that expression? Idle hands are the devil's workshop? That's how I feel. If I give myself too much free time, the anxiety devil will be back. LOL You are doing the best you can for yourself. I commend you for that. Just don't get over tired. Good luck! Noone who posts here is allowed to call themselves crazy, BTW;) Though we all have felt that way @ times. (((hugs))) jan

Im the exact same way too. once things are quiet.. is when my mind does its own thinking and boy it wont stop! my daughter was away at camp all week, and i was LOST with out my schedule! in my quiet time now, im trying to learn to be in the moment. side track yourself if your worried. dont what if! just plan to be prepared for side tracking! bring some of your photos and a photo book with you and do some artsy stuff :) or bring knitting if you know how. you can also make a fun photo book for your children while your vacationing and its relax time. Instead of saying, what if I have anxiety, what if'ing starts it all! try saying.. ill be ready for it. I have my medication if i need it. my husband will help me cope if it happens. im prepared to side track myself. it cant hurt me. :)
