Well, this is my third attack for this week. This one seem to last about 20 minutes. The attacked started at about 5:30pm. I can't stand the land lord's 3 little children from 3-5 years old. They can't stop running around even after 12:00am. I think they are the main trigger. Also, somebody was bring his grandson, I think he is about 2 years old. I tried to step back because I could feel like starting to panic.

What I have noticed during the attack were shortness of breath, increased heart rate, dizziness, sweating in my hands, lumbness in my legs. I even had a heart time to sit property. I have been on 50mg zoloft for almost 2 weeks. Well, I will give about couple more weeks to see how it was like. I have a history of anxiety and depression. I found zoloft helped at that time. Also, I have GAD and have noticed that about 6 months ago. The reason is that I do have stable job in the past 2 years but used to be stable in my first 4 years of my work. I want to become a professional engineer but those tests seem to be so tough for me because I don't have a degree and have to write more tests than some people who has degress. Not so many people passed phase 1 test.

I have to go back to see my doctor on next thursday because I have to get the refill. He might even want to increase the dosage.

I hope you're feeling some better. It is possible the meds will need to be increased. But, meds are only a tool to help when you are triggered. Have you tried the belly breathing? Do you meditate, pray or practice relaxation techniques? These things will help if you practice them. Sometimes therapists will teach you techniques that will help when you are triggered. Have you asked? Since it seems that you can't get away from the children, have you thought more about moving or asking if you could have more privacy? Please keep in touch. You can succeed in dealing with the anxiety. Honest! (((hugs))) jan

For me, I listen to the spa music. I do some exercise too. For the belly breathing, I will get tired very easily.

I will tell my doctor stright. I will tell him the turth. I don't have problem with him. I hope I can have a job in Alberta, so I can have chance to move. The problem is that I might not be able to stay in Ontario for that long so I don't want to move. If I know I will stay in Ontario for many years that will be different.
