hi ladies....well, i never seem to notice my progress until i take a step back....

yesterday i went to lunch with a ladie from my old work and the vast majority of the time i was anxious and thinking..."what if i have a panic attack and have to leave"....you know the feeling where your not quite at a panic attack yet, but still feeling pretty anxious? she was talking and talking and i was not even listening to her, i was just so wrapped up in my own anxiety and my thoughts of anxiety....

this left me feeling anxious and defeated all day...then the rest of the day i proceeded to "remember" how anxious i was 3 months ago and kept thinking, "what if all that anxiety returns?"

well

(((Heather))) This is a new day. Try to put yesterday behind you. I think it was great that you went out to lunch. Focus on the positives. Someone cared enough to have lunch with you. She talked to you ( I know you're lonely.) You made it through the lunch without panicking. I know how difficult things have been, but you & the pregnancy are progressing. Wishing you the best. jan

hi Heather. Im sorry this is sticking with you today. do something nice for yourself today, maybe a little home pedicure. that might help side track this. you havent had a set back, this is just ONE instance in all the hard work and accomplishments you already do! the positives outway the negative.. i know this feeling is painful. i get bouts of the depersonalization still when im anxious or stressed/tired. IT really makes it hard to remember you have good times too. (to me, it just feels like a cloud came over me with the anxiety) I hope your day turns around! take it easy for today, give yourself a break and remember we'll all here for you.

do you have any funny movies or romantic comedies at home you can watch? have you ever seen anchorman? LOL

Anchorman is good. I think Will Ferrell is a hoot. His new movie Telladega Nights looks like more of his hilarious shenanigans. I like Owen Wilson in Wedding Crashers & his new one You, Me & Dupree. Maybe you can get to the theater to see it, Heather. It will really lift your spirits. I'm not a comedy person, but there are times we all need lifted out of the doldrums. (((hugs))) jan

((((Heather)))) I truly do feel for you. I know the exact feelings you are going through. The only thing worse is that you cannot take xanax or ativan. I really do wish you weren't going through this. Definately try the funny movie as a diversion. That helps me sometimes. Or reading a prayer book or a good mystery. Perhaps even taking a walk with your son would help. I did read an article recently that if a person feels an anxiety attack coming and goes outside for a 20-30 minutes walk, they are much less likely to have a full blown attack. I'm going to try that one too!

I got Wedding Crashers in the mail from NetFlix today, I'm going to watch it, I hope it's funny.

We all have bad days, Heather. ITA that ups & downs are part of our recovery. Each day we are given a chance to start again. Kind of pick yourself up. Dust yourself off & try again:) Good luck. (((hugs))) jan
