My doctor increased the doseage of Zoloft to 100mg and take them for 2 weeks and see how they work for me. I already started 50mg Zoloft about 2 weeks ago. I could weel tolerate the 50mg in 2 weeks but still got the dry mouth. Once, I started 100mg Zoloft, the side effects are more noticiable, drowsiness, dry mouth, increased sweating, and nausea but I can still tolerate. About 8 years ago, I had a hard time to tolerate 100mg Zoloft but now, it seems to be better than what I thought.
I mentioned to my doctor that I had more than 5 panic attacks in the past 2 weeks. Also, I have called the distress centre for 3 or 4 times. He asked me "so did you call 911?" I told him "No, and I don't believe that I was in the life theatenly situation". I told him that my land lord's has 3 little children that might trigger panic attack. I believe couldn't find my 2 cats also had triggered panic attack. Frankly, I don't really know the real cause to it. He wouldn't prescribe the anit-anxiety pills even though I also have GAD because I didn't know the real cause to it. Also he told me that those kind of the pills are very addictive and only for short term. He rather increases the doseage of Zoloft or change to an other kind of anti-depressant thant to prescribe anti-anxiety pills.
I was wondering did any one of you call 911 for the panic attack? If you call, what kind of the circumstance that makes you call 911? I don't even know if I really need to call 911 at all.
Well, I have been doing some exercise. Also, I meditate myself too. Sometimes, I like to burn some lavendar oil, just for the aromatherapy. I love lavendar.
I also mentioned to my doctor that my cats were able to tell I had panic attack. They have been following me when I got panic attack and stiffing my breath.

I'm glad that you posted an update. It seems your doctor has a treatment plan in place to fit your needs. The side effects from the increased zoloft should pass quickly & should help your anxiety/panic in 3 to 4 weeks.
Calling 911 should not be your focus. If calling the crisis center helps, that is just fine. Some people have called 911 when they panic because they have physical symptoms that make them believe that they are having a medical emergency requiring an ambulance & transport to the hospital. You have not described those symptoms. Everyone is different & that's the way anxiety/panic work. We all have to find ways to cope with our feelings.
Have you considered seeing a counselor? I think you would benefit greatly by talking to a professional about these fears of children. Research has shown that meds are not enough. Seeing a therapist to discuss our fears & learn new ways to cope works best. Good luck to you! (((hugs))) jan
i don't think calling 911 would do be a good choice personally...what could they do for you? nothing....i know i "feel" like calling 911 when i'm in the mist of a panic attack...but i think it would just make things worse for me by making more medical bills...
sounds like your doc apt went pretty good....i'm glad that you are able to be honest and talk with your doc, thats super important.
let us know how the increase goes
