a new feeling has manifested since yesterday. EVERYTHING feels very "large" right now. the world, the amount of people in it.. i feel isolated a little, but then overwhelmed by the sheer size of everything. it makes me want to hide a little.. I feel very small and strange today. anyone experience this? any tips to cope?

im still taking my effexor, up to a half capsule now, and it is better, but i've had alot of stress this week. I moved on tuesday, and before that, had one week to pack everything up! so I think im exhausted. dont feel at home yet in the new place. Im feeling a little insecure and scared by it all.

ok.. so I know this is just my obsessive thought pattern.. and im giving it emotion, because its disturbing. Im just going to have to let it in, and say, yep, the world is HUGE.. so what.
I think I need a good couple nights sleep.. :)

I have moved several times and each time I feel very bewildered in my new home. I usually feel anxiety and totally out of place. About "big" things...everytime I go into the city, I feel strange around all those tall buildings. They are so big to me, it's frightening. I cant explain it.

Good luck to you

I think your second post has it covered. Sometimes when we don't have control over things or can't change them, we just accept them & move on. Obssessive thoughts tend to get worse when we try to fight them.

I moved 2 years ago, after having lived in our old place 24 years. For a couple of months, I didn't feel like things were real. That we didn't move, but were staying in a motel & would be leaving in a few days. It's a big shock to your system so make some time for yourself. Gradually you'll feel like this is home. I focused on redecorating to keep my mind distracted. Good luck! (((hugs))) jan

Thank you for relating and understanding.. this is just so hard to deal with sometimes. Im trying not to let it get so escalated, and remember coping techniques.. and the panic away stuff.. but it can creep up on you so fast, and before you know it.. you've reacted to it.. and its a snow ball!

I think a bath with lavender is calling me at home once im out of work :) my dd is old enough Thank Goodness to take care of herself for awhile :)

(((Hugs))) I hate that feeling of the "biggies". I get that every now and then, makes me feel short of breath. To cope with it I do some belly breathing with my eyes closed. Some how it helps not to look at things.

Good luck with your new place!

Take care,
Lisa
