Anyone else have uneasy feelings when they are alone? Whenever we have friends or family over, I don't even notice the axiety and depression. Good company has made a tremendous impact on my recovery. Its the time I am alone that get me down. I don't have anything to read at the moment, so I better go to the library tomorrow. I am blessed to have both my parents live close and a great circle of friends that love me and come over to just chat. I don't think I could have come this far without all of them. I encourage others who are suffering anxiety & depression to join a group to make friends. Church was great for me. I've had these friends for many years and they all know about my issues and encourage me. I hope that those of you who are feeling alone will take some steps to go out and meet people. Taking a knitting class, exercise class or sunday school. It is calming and peaceful to share your feelings with people who truly care for you and will back you up.
Anyway, just a thought.

I mostly have a problem getting out of my house and being in the group of people who I don't know very well. That's why I like to stay home and be alone. I love spending my time with my family and friends and that's the time when I don't feel anxiety.
I think even walking alone downtown makes me anxious. And the worst trigger of anxiety is being alone in unknown company.
And yes, I agree with you that we should all meet new people in some group of the same interest. I'm personally thinking of rejoining mountaineering group :)
I could not have said it better!

I like some alone time. But I always prefer to have someone I can call upon in the next room, if needed.
