Hello my friends !
I was wanting to know with those that are on Medication (I am on Cipralex) for the anxiety what they are doing to combat the tiredness or lower level of energy (as I know part of the purpose of these drugs is to calm you down down therefore decreasing some energy)
I have two children four and under and I feel like I just can't keep up with things.
I know the best thing is exersise but I am too tired for that (ha ha)
Is there any herbals or tictures any of you take to help with energy ???

Thanks

Hello! Nice to have you posting. I have taken antidepressants & anti-anxiety meds that did cause tiredness for a short time. But, I became adjusted to them. Usually it was my anxiety/depression that caused my lack of energy. JMHO You are right that exercise is the best thing to build up some reserves & stamina. Others may tell you that vitamins are the answer. But, if this is a serious problem for you, I would advise talking to the dr. This could be thyroid or anemia or any number of conditions that are highly treatable.

For those who aren't aware, cipralex is the UK name for lexapro. We have alot of folks on the board taking this & maybe they can give you some pointers.

You are very welcome here. Please check out our *coping tips & tricks* folder below. I find that daily meditation, no more than 15 or 20 minutes is very relaxing & restful. It helps with the anxiety too. Good luck & GBU! (((hugs))) jan
