Work Anxiety

Hi everybody - I've been "working" on my anxiety since relapsing last month (after 7 relatively free anxiety years!) I started on some meds a couple weeks ago and have been feeling MUCH better than I was. Yesterday I had a new client meeting and I left feeling overwhelmed, anxious and really down. This project is complex and technical and I find myself being really negative about the whole thing. I don't seem to have the rah!rah! attitude I used to. Everything just seems harder since the anxiety returned. Anyone else feel that way? Suggestions on ways to rally around myself?!

Thanks :-)

Sheri Ann - thanks for responding. I am seeing someone, but have only gone a couple times so far (this just started last month). Thanks for the info on ways to relax myself. It's hard taking care of me. I'd rather focus on everyone else (thus, the reason I'm here probably!) Every day brings something new. I don't like change (surprise, surprise!) and so feeling good one day and not so good the next is anxiety producing for me. But I know this journey will have peaks and valleys. I appreciate having this forum to discuss what's happening. It's so nice to hear others who feel the same way.

Thanks.

Sherri Ann - I'm not familiar with the SARK books - what are they?

Just focus on being upbeat & don't give in to the anxiety.
