Well, last night was a true test of anxiety. My 10 yr. old daughter was sick yesterday but got worse last night. I took her to one of those open late clinics and they called 911 and took us by ambulance to Children's Medical. She has a nasty viral infection in her lungs and she wasn't getting enough oxygen. 3 breathing treatments and 6 hours later we got to go home. She is better today and I'm really happy to report that during this ordeal, I was fine. No panic! I didn't have to take an ativan. I was actually really calm. For a moment, I had a thought "Why am I not panicing?" I just smiled and hugged my baby girl.
Thanks everyone for listening and being there for me. I pray for all on this board daily because I know how hard anxiety/panic/depression is and my heart goes out to all!

Heather, I take ativan once a day in the early morning. I think it is a combination of things that has helped me so much. Taking paxil, praying, relaxation techniques and of course, this board! When I start to feel anxious, I take deep breaths and remind myself it just a temporary feeling and will pass.
I've been thinking about you too. I actually pray that your pregnancy will go fast for you and that the baby is healthy. Then you can get back to meds for treatment!
Great job and no panic!!! GOOD FOR YOU!! Judy
