Well I still have hives which I had on Lexapro and Celexa, that hasn't let up at all. I have been on the paxil for about a week now, started the day after quitting Celexa. Had really bad anxiety/possible PA this morning while having a meeting with someone at work.. very out of breath, sweating, etc. I really hope it gets better. I feel like I'm all over the place and this is my third medication. I feel like quitting.

Have they started you on low doses and are going to work you up to a regular dose? That makes a huge difference. Hang in there! Don't give up. If you need the meds, you will eventually find one that works! I'm just sure of it. There are so many different kinds available. I'm so sorry for you! Finding one that works is NO fun!!!

Hang in there!

Hugs,
Laura

(((Cher))) Trying to find the right med is so difficult. I know it's been a long haul for you, but don't give up. The paxil will take 4 to 6 weeks to reach optimal effect according to the literature. Others have been successful with it. If this was the first panicky episode in a week, then try to see the positive side of that. Don't let this episode have control over you. Try to keep it in perspective & move forward. Good luck & keep focused on regaining your wellness. jan

I wouldn't up the dose just yet, wait until you are comfortable with how you feel.

The oatmeal didn't help, but the Benadryl helps a little. I don't really think it's from worrying, I never had hives before in my life before I tried these medications. I even took Zoloft a few years back and no hives. So I dont' know what's going on. Can they be caused by a food allergy? My dr. says it's not a food allergy, but I don't know...

Hives can definitely be from food allergies.
