I read on one of your posts that you've had gastric bypass surgery... I have a few questions if you don't mind answering...
Did you have the actual Bypass surgery or the lap band? What lead you to this decision? Was it health or cosmetic? I have considered the lapband surgery since I'm considered almost 100lbs overweight for my height and structure. I wasn't overweight until having kids and now pretty much everything I try - I can't get past the 20lb mark of loosing.. I'll get to 20 lbs and just stop all together - and a month or so later - gain it all back!
I hate being overweight.. it affects my life, my confidence, my marriage, my health, and my well being. But I have not decided if surgery is right for me - or if I should just deal with being over weight and accept it.. Everytime I see a picture of myself.. I think it's gross.. and i am honestly not that large.. just hate the way it looks.
How long did it take you to adjust to the new lifestyle and heal from the proceedure? do you have trouble only eating the 4 oz or so of food at a time? Did you have problems with your hair falling out or anything like that?
my sister in law had the gastric bypass and looks great a year later - but she's sooooo tiny now! She has had trouble with her hair thinning out alot.. but her outlook on life and on herself has improved greatly - but she doesn't talk about the proceedure too much or what all happened afterwards.. i have another friend that had the lapband done and she lost 60 lbs and then it basically stopped.. she's still a good bit overweight and has problems swallowing certain foods.. so I don' tknow..
Any info that you have to offer would be great!
