Nocturnal mood swings

Hi, I'm a woman who's been having incredibly drastic mood swings - that only occurs at night. Around six o'clock, I feel fine, even happy, for no reason in particular, and then at about seven or eight at night, I become angry or annoyed or bitter...again, for no reason in particular. Then in the morning, I feel fine again, and the cycle continues. This has been going on for about two weeks. I'm sick to death of it, and it's hurting people around me. Anyone have any thoughts?

No, I'm not on any meds, but sometimes with this I think I should be. I've never had a problem with mood swings and low blood sugar before (though I am hypoglycemic, they never really relate)and I'm usually pretty well rested. This has just got me so frazzled! The worst part is trying to keep it under control when I want to scream and cry at the same time, and I'm just so angry! I'm not this type of person. I'm usually pretty mellow and go-with-the-flow. Any other thoughts? HELP!!!

I am sorry to hear this. It must be very upsetting, if not downright scary. IMHO, such a change from your usual behavior needs investigating by a medical professional. Please consider seeing a dr. Nocturnal mood swings are not generally associated with anxiety, but can be part of depression. Please take a look @ our *coping tips & tricks* folder below. You can get alot of info on dealing with stress there. Good luck & GBU! Please keep in touch. (((hugs))) jan
