Disturbing dreams?

I've noticed for a few years that I get pretty weird and scary dreams before my period, I just never asked anybody about it. I have a lot of dreams about major diseases that could kill me or my loved ones. I have dreams where I can see and talk to my late grandmother. Anything that has to do with a disease that could kill me scares me enough to not want to go to sleep! i had one just this morning about my mom and someone else having cancer..does anyone else experience this? And I guess its not something we can make go away, huh?

I can definitely relate to anxiety-filled dreams. I started having them worse right before the first week Tim (boyfriend) went out of town. I would wake up with a full blown anxiety attack that followed me out of the dream. I don't think there is anything we can do about dreams, unfortunately, if there is, I'd like to know how to stop them!!

Disturbing dreams are common. Especially when we're stressed or anxious. It's the body's way of working through our daytime fears. I have had some bad ones that nagged @ me through the day. Not fun): I hope that you can accept them as a necessary part of resolving your daytime issues, Ashley. Here is alot of dream info on iVillage. It's an interesting subject.
